
Mgr. Otto Eibl, Ph.D.
Otto Eibl graduated in Political Science at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, where he is now an assistant professor, mainly teaching courses about political communication and marketing.
These areas are also the focal points of his research. At the International Institute for Political Science he mainly studies political brands, their contents, and the processes by which brands are created and maintained. He also researches the placement of political issues in the political space and the communication and marketing strategies of political parties both in and beyond the lead-up to elections. Otto has authored a number of articles and chapters in scholarly journals and books. Most recently, he co-edited (together with Miloš Gregor) the book Thirty Years of Political Campaigning in Central and Eastern Europe. He is also a team member of the international research project “MAD: Migrants. Analysis of media discourse on migrants in Poland, Great Britain, Ukraine, Albania and the Czech Republic”.
