Mgr. et Mgr. Petr Voda, Ph.D.

Petr Voda is an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science and International Institute of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Studies. He holds PhDs in Political Science and Geography, both from Masaryk University.

His research focuses on local politics, political representation, electoral geography and electoral behaviour. He is the (co)author of several monographs related to elections in the Czech and Slovak Republics. He has also published several articles dealing with local-level representation, electoral behaviour with a focus on populist parties, and electoral geography in such journals as Political Geography, Urban Affairs Review, Government Information Quarterly and Communist and Post-Communist Studies. He has participated in several research projects funded by the Czech Science Foundation (e.g. Biographical Aspects in Politics, Distributive Politics, Radicalization, Quality of Democracy).
