
Mgr. Vratislav Havlík, Ph.D.
Vratislav Havlík graduated in European Studies and Media Studies & Journalism at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University, where he continued with his doctoral degree in European Studies.
During that time, he also participated in 6-month stays at the Universität Wien and Technische Universität Dresden (Herbert Quandt Foundation). In 2011 he took part in a 6-month internship at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, during which he led a course on the Europeanization of political systems, among other activities. Vratislav’s research focuses on the Europeanization of substate actors and multi-level governance as well as on Hungarian politics and Hungarian–Slovak relations. He is the author of the monograph Města jako partner v procesu vládnutí (2013) and various research articles published in leading journals, including the Journal of Common Market Studies and European Planning Studies.
