Vratislav Havlík and Vít Hloušek on illiberal democracy in Central Europe

4.11.2020/ Vratislav and Vít contributed to monograph “Illiberal Trends and Anti-EU Politics in East Central Europe” (Palgrave) with a comparative chapter. They compared four so-called Visegrád countries from the point of view of presence of illiberal ideas and implementation of practical illiberal measures. The good news is that V4 is far from being monolithic illiberal bloc in the European Union. On the other hand, a reader soon finds out that there are many reasons to care about quality of democracy in Czechia and Slovakia too.

The best news is that you can download the e-book here for free.
