7th Summer School on Energy Security Successfully Concluded
15.8.2018/ The 7th instalment of the Summer School on Energy Security took place on Agust 4 - 11 at the Masaryk University Centre in Telc.
The summer school titled "Energy Infrastructure and Policy Repercussions" welcomed 21 students from 13 countries all over the world. They attended lectures on geopolitical ramifications of relations between European major energy suppliers, energy transition, political aspects of various energy sources, etc.
Among lecturers, there was Special Envoy for Energy Security of The Czech Republic Václav Bartuška, an analyst from the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies James Henderson, US Department of Energy´s director of Regional Office for CEE Dan Milstein, Director of Nuclear Power Plant Construction Department of the company ČEZ Petr Závodský and others.
Apart from lectures, students also had the chance to take part in sightseeing tours through the city centre and the Chateau of Telc.
Next year, the summer school will take place on August 3 - 10.
