Czech Journal of Political Science

Czech Journal of Political Science is a scholarly quarterly journal and the first reviewed political science periodical issued in the Czech Republic. The first issue of the journal was published in 1994. The journal is a representative platform for presentation of the outcomes of the original political science research and thus significantly contributes to the constitution of political science as a scholarly discipline and to its establishment among other social sciences. The journal features studies, articles, review essays, discussions, reviews and information on the events within the political science. The texts may be submitted in the Czech, Slovak or English language. The topics comprise the areas of political philosophy and theory, comparative political science, political sociology, policy analysis, European studies, international relations and security studies. The texts offered to the Czech Journal of Political Science undergo the peer-review procedure. ISSN 1211-3247

Guidelines for Authors

The Czech Journal of Political Science is publishing scholarly articles corresponding to its specialization. Manuscripts submitted to the journal may not be submitted simultaneously for publication or evaluation to any other periodical. If the submitted manuscript fulfills the formal requirements for an academic text, it is subjected to peer review. Final acceptance of the text for publication is decided by the editorial board on the basis of this peer review, which is anonymous, and is held with participation of two independent reviewers. Manuscripts should be submitted to the editors electronically to the address kaniok(at)fss.muni.cz or havlik(at)fss.muni.cz. In the accompanying letter please give a full contact address including telephone number and e-mail, and brief information about the author. The journal reserves the right to alter accepted manuscripts; however, if any significant changes are made, the author will receive the altered manuscript for approval. Length of the text should not exceed 35 standard pages for studies, 25 standard pages for articles, 20 standard pages for material, 15 pages for discussion contribution or review essay and 7 standard pages for a review or information. Subscription

The price for one-year subscription is 150 Kč. The price for one issue is 50 Kč. In case of order of previously published issues, the postal fees of 30 Kč apply.
