Results of the Czech-American Prize for Talented Students 2011

In December 2011 the results of the Sixth year of the Czech-American Prize for Talented Students have been announced. The results are available here. The competition was organized by International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk University in cooperation with Embassy of the United States in Prague and J. W. Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic. This year the topic of the papers was related to the United States of America.
Results of the Czech-American Prize 2010
In December 2010 the results of the Czech-American Prize for Talented Students have been announced. Fifth year of the competition was organized by the International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk University, Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic, and the Embassy of the USA in Prague. Texts from the field of sociology, economy and law have been submitted. The committee selected six finalists. The announcement was followed by the lecture of cultural attaché of the USA David Gainer on the topic of how to apply for a scholarship to study in the USA.
STUDY IN THE USA - HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP
The IIPS MU, U.S. Embassy in Prague and the Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic Invite you to a lecture by David Gainer, cultural attache of the USA and member of the Fulbright Commission on the topic "Study in the USA - How to Apply for a Scholarship". The lecture will deal with all levels of study (undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, visiting researcher) and will answer the questions of how to write a successful scholarship application, or which frequent mistakes should applicants avoid. The lecture will be followed by the announcement of the winner of the Czech-American Prize for Talented Students. The prize will be awarded by chargé d'affaires Joseph Penington. The lecture will take place on 9th December 2010, 10am, room P21, 2nd floor, Faculty of Social Studies, Joštova 10.
Results of the Czech-American Prize 2009

In May 2009, the results of the Czech-American Prize for Talented Students 2009 have been announced. Fourth year of the competition was organized by International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk University, Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic, and the Embassy of the United States of America in Prague. Almost thirty texts from the fields of political science and international relations were sent to the competition, from which eight have been chosen for final round. The prizes were announced by not only Oldřich Krpec, director of the IIPS, but also by representatives of coorganizing institutions.
Czech-American Prize 2008 Has Been Awarded

The Czech-American Prize for Talented Students has been awarded for the third time. This year, the choice of the winner has been particularly difficult due to great number of participating texts. That's why the jury has decided to place two works on the first place.
Czech-American Prize 2007 Knows Its Winner
In its second year, the Czech-American Prize for Talented Students has been awarded to Jan Petrov from the Department of Business Law of the Charles University's Faculty of Law who authored the work named „General Responsibility of the Joint Stock Companies Board of Directors Members: Czech-American-German Comparison. The prize was delivered by the organizing institutions' representatives: Břetislav Dančák (Director of the International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk University), Hana Ripková (Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic Director), and Richard W. Graber (Ambassador of the U.S.A. in the Czech Republic). The winner was awarded with 10000 CZK financial prize and his text will as well be published among International Institute of Political Science books.
Czech-American Prize for Talented Students 2006
On 11th May 2006, the first year of the Czech-American Prize for Talented Students has been completed by the winner announcement gala. The competition has been organized by the International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk University, US Embassy and Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic. The commission of six members awarded six students out of 21 participants.
