Russian Activities in Natural Gas Exporting Countries
Liquefied natural gas has lately been viewed as some kind of European salvation by both scholars and non-academic public. It has been seen as a means to replace or supplement massive natural gas supplies provided by Russian Federation through cooperating with other producers. Nevertheless, this idea is often challenged by frequent activities of Russian energy companies in these exporting countries. The analysis attempts to define the extent to which are these commercial activities threatening to flow of LNG to Europe. The research is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and will be conducted from April to July 2010 by the Energy Section of the IIPS.
