Unobvious perspectives. Gender analysis in psychotherapy and psychological counselling 

Publication presents study of gender in psychotherapy and counselling using mainly social constructionism as a theoretical point of departure. Main goal is to contribute to discussion about how gender perspective might be applied in the psychology, both on theoretical and practical level. The book can be ordered here.

In the theoretical part of the thesis the aim is to present feminist approach in psychology and towards counselling and therapy. Further described are various approaches to study of gender in psychology and typical features of feminist counselling/therapy. Research using qualitative methodology focus on how gender perspective is applied in everyday practice of therapy and counselling. Results are presented in three main topics: (1) understanding gender of "the other", (2) gender in therapeutic relationship reflection, (3) from individual to a societal change.
