Common European Currency

The birth of the common European currency and building of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) is one of the biggest and most ambitious projects, in which European Union has been involved. When it comes to the impacts of this step, settings of the entire system and the stage of the European integration in times of its launching, it is also quite controversial step.
