Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is one of the most important political foundations in the Federal Republic of Germany. The foundation continuosly supports international cooperation and mutual understanding by its numerous activities. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung also supports harmonic adaptation of the Czech Republic on the European Union membership. Moreover, it contributes to strenghtening good relations between Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany.

American Fund for Czechoslovak Relief is organization with more than half-century long history. It was originally established to help emmigrants from Czechoslovakia who escaped from the communist regime anywhere in the world. After the fall of communism and break-up of Czechoslovakia, the Fund continues to operate within the area of strenghtening and developing the democracy, mainly through support of student activities of Czech and Slovak citizens in the U.S. universities. AFCR's headquarters is based in New York.
